‍What does this feature do?
It allows you to set up a donation widget so that it displays only the monthly (recurring) donation option when it first loads, hiding the one-time donation from the foreground. Donors can still access the one-time donation at any time via a link, but the widget visually prioritizes recurring gifts.

Prerequisite
Before enabling this option, verify that the widget has the following configured:

• Payment methods for one-time donations
• Payment methods for monthly donations
• All payment gateways associated with both frequencies

Important: This feature cannot be enabled if the widget only has one frequency selected (e.g., only monthly or only one-time). Both combinations must be active for the option to be available.

Configuration steps

1. Go to the settings for the widget you wish to modify.
2. Confirm that both one-time and monthly payment methods are selected (see Prerequisite).
3. Go to the "Donation" section.
4. Enable the option "Show one-time donation only as a link below the payment button."
5. Save your changes.
6. Reload the widget page to see the result.

Expected result
Upon reloading, the widget will display only the monthly donation section. The one-time donation option will no longer be visible by default—the widget will behave as if it were configured only for recurring donations. However, donors can click the available link to access the one-time donation at any time.

Additional recommendation
Set the default frequency to "monthly." This way, when the widget renders for the first time, the monthly option will be automatically preselected. If a default frequency is not set, the system will prompt the user to select the frequency manually.
